Here’s What $10,000 Invested in SpaceX and Nvidia Could Be Worth by 2030

November 5, 2026 · by TPW Pipeline

Space Exploration Technologies (SPCX -3.81%) and Nvidia (NVDA -3.17%) are two of the largest companies in the world. While they may seem unrelated, they’re actually close partners, as SpaceX has a massive and growing artificial intelligence (AI) segment. In fact, it is planning to use Nvidia’s latest-generation Vera Rubin processor architecture exclusively in its new data centers.

SpaceX and Nvidia offer two completely different angles on AI investment: Nvidia is infrastructure, while SpaceX is application. Investing in both is a great way to get exposure to two of the primary facets of the AI trend. But what could a $10,000 investment split evenly between the two of them today be worth by 2030?

AI has a long way to go before it’s widespread

Although AI has found its way into a wide array of use cases, the reality is there are a lot more out there. We’ve only seen the tip of the iceberg of what AI is capable of, and there still isn’t enough computing capacity available to run all of the AI workloads that are popping up. As a result, there will be several more years of heavy AI infrastructure spending. This bodes well for Nvidia, as it means there will be several more years of strong demand for its GPUs. In fact, Nvidia projects that global data center capital expenditures will reach $3 trillion to $4 trillion by 2030. For reference, the big five AI hyperscalers are expected to spend nearly $800 billion on capex in 2026. So, even if we estimate that the entire world spent $1 trillion on data center capital expenditures this year, that forecast implies that total data center spending could rise threefold to fourfold over the next few years.

One of those big spenders will be SpaceX. A few months before it went public, it bought another of CEO Elon Musk’s companies: xAI. That acquisition has rapidly become a huge part of SpaceX’s business. xAI trains and operates the Grok AI model, along with all its product offshoots (such as Grok Bots). Because SpaceX is on the application side of AI, its runway is practically unlimited.

Moreover, business is good. In the third quarter, revenues from SpaceX’s artificial intelligence segment, which it has renamed its “super intelligence” (SI) segment, soared 830% year over year. That shows just how quickly AI tools are being deployed, and the future looks bright for SpaceX.

A $10,000 investment could be worth a lot more in the future

For Nvidia, projecting its rise is a bit clearer. If total AI spending in 2030 reaches the bottom end of its projection, don’t be surprised to see Nvidia’s business grow threefold as well. That would transform a $5,000 investment in Nvidia into $15,000 if the stock grows in parallel to the business (which it should over the long term).

SpaceX is a bit trickier, as it couldn’t sustain the rapid growth rate it achieved in Q3 for multiple years without its revenues getting absurdly large. However, CEO Elon Musk made the bold projection that SpaceX could have $500 billion to $1 trillion in annual recurring revenue by the end of next year, with its growth driven by the AI boom. Investors should take Musk’s predictions with a grain of salt, but he’s not wrong about the potential of AI and the rapid pace of its adoption. If we push that revenue prediction out to 2030, and settle at the bottom end of the range, it still points to impressive returns.

If SpaceX can generate $500 billion in 2030 in revenue and if the stock trades then at 10 times sales, that would value the company at $5 trillion, up from around $1.8 trillion today. That would transform a $5,000 investment today into nearly $14,000.

So a combined $10,000 investment in these two could yield about $29,000 by 2030. That’s a great return in a short time frame, making these two AI stocks smart buys now.
