Vertiv: 3 Key Takeaways for Long-Term Investors

November 1, 2026 · by TPW Pipeline

On its third-quarter 2026 earnings call, held on Oct. 28, 2026, Vertiv (VRT -5.46%) reported net sales of $4.3 billion. Surging demand for artificial intelligence infrastructure continues to accelerate adoption of specialized power and thermal management systems. Three key takeaways from management explain how the company’s positioned for long-term growth.

1. Organic Order Growth Doubled as AI Demand Accelerates Across Regions

Data center expansion continues to drive order volume across global markets. Vertiv experienced broad-based demand for data center power and thermal infrastructure. Organic order growth exceeded 100% year over year.

We do not disclose orders. And we will continue not to. But it is worth sharing that our Q3 orders were more than 100% up year on year. Organically.
— Giordano Albertazzi, Chief Executive Officer

2. Modular Infrastructure Cuts Data Center Deployment Timelines in Half

Customers prioritize speed to bring artificial intelligence computing online faster. Factory-built modular designs simplify site installation and help operators generate revenue much sooner than traditional construction can.

In the deployment phase, factory built and modularly deployed infrastructure significantly removes complexity from site. It happens in parallel with site preparation. This cuts deployment time by up to half.
— Giordano Albertazzi, Chief Executive Officer

3. Aggressive Reinvestment Expands Operational Scale and Future Capabilities

Vertiv is scaling manufacturing capacity globally while maintaining high profitability. Management maintains balance-sheet discipline while it pursues strategic investments and targeted acquisitions to expand its technology portfolio.

We are accomplishing two seemingly conflicting things at the same time. We are delivering very strong results today, while investing aggressively for tomorrow.
— David Cote, Executive Chairman

Looking Ahead

Data center infrastructure demand is accelerating globally, and Vertiv is turning that momentum into market share gains. Proprietary thermal systems, global manufacturing scale, and deep service integration provide key advantages. Management is prioritizing capacity additions, pricing discipline, and operational execution.

We are just at the beginning of the digital age. And we anticipate it has decades left to run.
— David Cote, Executive Chairman

Complex artificial intelligence deployments require partners that deliver reliability across global footprints.

Our customers are building at scale and complexity that the industry has never seen. And they need partners who can scale technology, execution, quality, reliability, and services.
— Giordano Albertazzi, Chief Executive Officer
