Waymo’s New Robotaxi Is Built for the Job—But Is Toyota the Right Bet?

Toyota is going to build robotaxis the same way it builds regular cars — on the actual factory line, in Japan, with Waymo’s self-driving tech baked into the Toyota bZ4X electric SUV before it ever rolls out the door. The plan is to support Waymo robotaxi launches in Tokyo and the UK.
