So Sam Altman came out and said the quiet part loudly: OpenAI has spent *hundreds of millions of dollars* pushing AI into mathematics, and — per Altman — there are more discoveries on the way. He also, apparently, sympathizes with the mathematicians who are watching their field get colonized in real time. How generous of him. 😅
