If You’d Invested $10,000 in Apple Stock 10 Years Ago, Here’s How Much You’d Have Today
Creating a diversified portfolio of excellent stocks benefits investors in so many ways. One of them is access to a variety of growth opportunities. You only need one stock to really take off, supercharge your portfolio, and make up for any losses.
For some lucky investors, that stock has been Apple (AAPL +0.93%). If you’d invested $10,000 in the device powerhouse stock 10 years ago, here’s how much money you’d have today.
The most powerful device ecosystem
Apple’s premier product is the iPhone, which accounts for about half of its revenue, but it has a large ecosystem of products that draws users and keeps them buying. Loyal fans tend to upgrade, staying in the system and generating more revenue. Sales increased 16% year over year in the 2026 fiscal third quarter (ended June 27).

This has resulted in a powerful business, and for a long time, Apple was the most valuable company in the world. It’s been knocked to second place by Nvidia, but it’s the only other company worth more than $5 trillion.
Including dividends, Apple stock has gained 1,190% over the past 10 years, more than three times the S&P 500 (^GSPC +0.60%). That means a $10,000 investment is worth more than $128,000 at today’s price.

It’s unlikely to deliver the same gains over the next 10 years, but it still has robust growth opportunities and can offer value to investors. Apple is an excellent stock to keep in your diversified portfolio that may include the next multibagger stock.
