Inflation Is Running Hotter Than Expected. That Could Be Bullish for Bitcoin.
Hot inflation could eventually help Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC), but the relationship between inflation and Bitcoin is a lot more complex than it seems. Consumer prices rose by 3.7% in the 12 months through September 2026, per the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), and Bitcoin fell about $1,000 on the hotter-than-expected Oct. 14 report, as hot inflation raises the odds of interest rate hikes by the Federal Reserve.
Still, there’s an argument for why more inflation could be bullish for Bitcoin, so let’s think about it a bit more.
