2 Stocks Down About 70% to Buy Now and Hold for the Next Decade
It’s not always the best time to judge a consumer brand when its stock chart looks ugliest. Shoppers still grab their Quest bars and Jack Daniel’s, unaware of the share price slump. That disconnect between what people buy and what investors see is often where patient investors can find their best entry points. That’s the case with two consumer goods companies right now: a 155-year-old whiskey maker trading at a fraction of its 2020 peak and a protein snack company that has spent 2026 shrinking its share count while the market treated it like a melting ice cube.

Brown-Forman (NYSE: BFA) (NYSE: BFB) has fallen roughly 65% from the all-time high it set in November 2020, a drawdown that would be alarming if the company were losing its core franchise. It isn’t. Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey sales were flat in the quarter ended July 31, which sounds unremarkable until you consider that spirits consumption in developed markets has been shrinking for several years. Holding flat in a declining category means taking more of a share.
