Tesla’s Cybercab Robotaxi Fleet Jumped Eightfold in a Month to More Than 300 Vehicles in Austin, With Dallas Up Next. Is Elon Musk’s Robotaxi Bet Finally Scaling?
Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA) says its Cybercab fleet in Austin, Texas, has grown eightfold in just 30 days, reaching more than 300 vehicles. And Dallas could be next.
On Oct. 10, Tesla announced the milestone on X through its official Robotaxi account. Shortly afterward, Ashok Elluswamy, the company’s vice president of artificial intelligence software, indicated that Dallas would be the next city to receive Cybercab service.
For CEO Elon Musk, who has spent years promising that autonomous driving would transform Tesla’s business, this is encouraging progress. But is Tesla finally turning its robotaxi ambitions into a scalable business?
