Ark Invest Rotates Out of Palantir and AMD, Adds Roughly $3.35 Million in Archer Aviation

Cathie Wood’s Ark Invest has disclosed a fresh round of portfolio moves, trimming its positions in software firm Palantir Technologies and chipmaker Advanced Micro Devices while directing approximately $3.35 million into eVTOL developer Archer Aviation for its flagship Ark Innovation ETF.

Unlike most large fund managers, which reveal their holdings only through quarterly 13F filings required for funds managing more than $100 million, Ark publishes daily trade updates across its exchange traded funds. That transparency has made Wood’s buy and sell decisions a closely watched signal among retail investors tracking the firm’s high-conviction bets on disruptive technology.

The latest disclosures show Ark reducing exposure to two of the market’s most prominent AI-linked names. Palantir, which builds data and software platforms originally developed for intelligence and defense customers, has been a frequent target of Ark’s selling in recent months as the stock’s valuation expanded. Shares of Palantir slipped 0.64% in the most recent session to $169.53, giving the company a market capitalization of roughly $407.4 billion.

Ark also pared back its stake in Advanced Micro Devices, whose processors and AI accelerators have positioned it as a key player in the semiconductor industry. AMD stock closed at $559.82, up 2.72% from its previous close of $545.00, valuing the company at approximately $779.6 billion. Even as Ark trims, AMD’s data center segment — spanning AI accelerators, microprocessors, and GPUs — continues to be a focal point of investor interest in the AI infrastructure buildout.

The proceeds flowing into Archer Aviation underscore Ark’s continued appetite for speculative, early-stage technology themes. Archer is developing electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft intended for urban air mobility, a sector often described as the “flying taxi” market. The position remains small relative to the ETF’s overall assets, but the purchase signals Wood’s team is still prioritizing long-horizon innovation plays even as it rotates among established technology winners.

For investors who follow Ark’s daily trade disclosures, the moves highlight the fund’s ongoing balancing act: taking profits in companies whose valuations have run sharply higher, such as Palantir, while redeploying capital into unproven but potentially transformative sectors like electric aviation.

What to watch

  • Archer Aviation’s progress toward certification of its eVTOL aircraft and any updates on commercial launch timelines.
  • Palantir’s upcoming quarterly results, which will be scrutinized for revenue growth and commentary on valuation.
  • AMD’s next earnings report and guidance, particularly for its data center and AI accelerator business.
  • Continued Ark Invest daily trade disclosures, which may reveal whether these rotations extend further.
