Fashion discovery app Daydream taps Apple Intelligence to make camera-roll outfits shoppable

Daydream, a fashion discovery application, has rolled out new functionality built on Apple Intelligence, its developers announced this week. The update arrives alongside the release of iOS 27 and centers on two features designed to shorten the path from inspiration to purchase.

The first allows users to take photos of outfits they have saved in their camera roll — screenshots, street-style shots, or images shared by friends — and convert them into shoppable search results. Rather than manually describing what they are looking for, users can rely on the app’s image-analysis capabilities to identify garments and surface similar products available to buy.

The second feature extends the experience beyond the app itself. Through integration with Siri, users can search Daydream’s product catalog via voice without opening the application, reflecting Apple’s broader push to make its assistant a system-wide entry point for third-party services under the Apple Intelligence umbrella.

The launch illustrates a growing pattern among consumer apps seeking to leverage on-device AI capabilities that Apple has opened to developers. For fashion-tech companies in particular, visual search has long been a differentiator, and native iOS integration lowers friction for users who might otherwise abandon a search mid-flow.

For Apple, third-party adoption of Apple Intelligence features provides a showcase for the platform as the company seeks to demonstrate the practical utility of its AI tooling to everyday iPhone users.
