Amazon.com, Inc. subsidiary Ring has announced the release of the Peephole Cam 2K, an updated version of its smart doorbell designed to replace traditional optical peepholes. This new model serves as a successor to the Door View Cam originally released in 2019, offering hardware improvements and a revised price point.

The primary upgrade in the new device is the shift from 1080p to 2K video resolution, intended to provide clearer image quality for users. Additionally, the unit features enhanced tracking capabilities.
